My husband is a diabetic. I know what to feed he and what not to feed him, but i also know he cheats by eating he shouldn't when I am not watching. What can I do?

Does your husband realize

Does your husband realize what the HUGE risks are with Diabetis? Maybe he needs some education on what diabetic cheating can bring because it can get serious really fast. It might be good to let him know how cheating worries you and what could happen to him AND the rest of your family as a result of the cheating.

Find out what your husband

Find out what your husband eats when he cheats. Look for an alternative. For example my weakness is chocolate, instead of eating chocolate I buy chocolate graham crackers or put sugarless coco mix in my coffee. I think the hardest thing is going in and out of denial about being a diabetic. Encourage him to come clean with the cheating and find alternatives. Good luck.

unfortunatlry any diabetic

unfortunatlry any diabetic has cravings, and any diabetic will tell you that, it is not your husbands fault, in theory he is feeding a drug habbit, his body is telling him that he "needs" what ever he is craving after (normally anything with sugar in it) dont blame him though because it is like getting off a drug, i have done the same (and i still do from time to time) if you would like to chat more please e-mail me @ craigalanwilliams@hotmail.com
