My father is elderly and has Diabeties and has a weak heart. He is suffering from constant headaches and also increased shortness of breath, but the Doc's don't believe it's his heart. Does anyone have suggestions for the headaches/migranes or thoughts on increased shortness of breath.

I have recently been diagnosed with (diet controllable) type 2 diabetes. The books tell me how much fat I should limit myself to in any day, but can anyone tell me if there is an upper limit to the amount of sugar I can include in my daily intake. The analyses charts on the food labels will show xx grams of carbohydrate (of which x.x grams are from sugars). Ideally I appreciate that this should probably be zero, but virtually everything on the supermarket shelf contains some sugar.

    Thanks

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum. I'm a type 1 diabetic who has been using insulin and I am considering trying out the insulin pump if my health insurance will cover it. I'm getting tired of using the regular injections. There is a research company in San Diego that is doing a really neat study about insulin pumps that was very interesting. I found it to be very informative and educational. If you want to do the study email info@luthresearch.com. And they will let you know when it can be completed. Is the insulin pump in general convenient and easy to use? Let me know how it works exactly.

I am excited to find an energy drink that has no surgar. Several family members are diabetic and love this new drink. It is called XS. You can find out more information by going to quixtar.com.... hit visitor USA... register as a FREE client ( you must use my owner number to register as it is a referal based web page # 1478847) and hit item # 604327A2 or 604991A2 in the search box. It comes in 2 flavors, Cranberry Grape and Citrus Blast. All the specifics are on the web-site. After the response I got from my family members, I am posting this at their request since they have found it very difficult to find drinks that they can have. If you have any questions, please e-mail me. I highly suggest that you "check this out" Read more

The only time I have been ablt to control my blood sugar was when I was on the Atkins diet. I felt better and had really good blood sugar levels. I didn't even need my meds. Let me know if you are interested cause I would love to do it again but would love someone to do it with me to give me the incentive to start and stay on it. Read more
